1. Can you give us a general introduction to your school?

 Greenways Academy was founded as an alternative for students whose needs are not being met at traditional schools. Some of our students have difficulty excelling in a traditional school setting because of medical conditions, learning disabilities, psychological issues, or unique scheduling needs. Other students enroll to supplement their school's curriculum with advanced college preparatory courses or unique electives. With one-on-one teaching for every course, we get to know our students and utilize the strengths of their personalities and learning styles to ensure their success. The flexibility of our program sets us apart from traditional schools, which often try to make all students conform to a pre-set teaching style - regardless of their learning strengths, weaknesses, or personalities.

2. Who is your typical student (or students)?

We are a diverse group of students who prefer an online education for a number of reasons. Our student population includes those who:

• Need additional course units to graduate or to assist in college entrance.
• Are experiencing physical or mental illnesses that makes going to a brick and mortar school difficult.
• Travel or life in foreign countries.
• Are involved in elite sports (ice skating, tennis, gymnastics).
• Are returning to school to receive a high school diploma.
• Are interested in advancing their education for any reason.

Whatever their reason for enrolling at Greenways, we treat each student as unique individuals and accommodate their needs, goals, and learning styles.

3. What makes your school unique?

 One unique characteristic of Greenways Academy are our lessons. Greenways Academy's lessons involve extensive student participation and student-teacher interaction. Unlike some online curriculums, many of our lessons are not limited to multiple choice answers. Instead they involve open-ended quesitons, essays, and projects. Our course formats also allow teachers to comment on a student's answer to every question. This allows students to understand more than just whether their answers were correct or incorrect. It also allows for teachers to be flexible with grades giving extra credit for well-answered questions or half credit for those that were partially correct.
