1. Why did you choose Liberty University Online Academy?

We wanted our son to have an education that was based on a Biblical world view.

2. What has been the biggest surprise for you?

That it was challenging.  I was concerned it might not push him as much as we wanted and also the high quality of the content.  We were concerned that it might be difficult to teach math in this venue and we are pleased with the math curriculum thus far.

3. What has been the biggest challenge?

I have sat here contemplating what challenges we have faced with this, and I honestly cannot think of anything worth mentioning.

4. Why do you think others should choose Liberty University Online Academy?

Because Christian children need a Christ centered education.  The public schools in general, not only will not give them this, they are now undermining the attempts of Christian parents to instill Biblically based values in the minds of their children.  This academy serves as a great alternative for parents who do not have any other options – better yet, it serves as an awesome first option!

Practically, the flexibility of the program is wonderful.  We do not have to work around the school’s schedule; we set our own and live our lives how we want.  The ability for the parent to adjust the schedule and classes to accommodate family events and plans is great!

5. Can you share a little information about your life (city, age, family, etc.)?

I am a pastor of a Southern Baptist Church in Rogersville, TN.  I am in my mid 40’s and my son is in 9th grade.  We have 3 children – one in college at North Greenville University in Greenville, SC.  Our youngest child is in 6th grade.  My wife is a school teacher.
