One thing to note about Halstrom High School Online is that it is not regionally accredited. It does have accreditation through the Distance Education & Training Council. That is reasonable accreditation, I believe, that there may be some who view that as a lower level of accreditation.

Thank you for your valued feedback. Actually the Halstrom's website says they are accredited by NAAS, maybe this is a new acquisition for them to go along with their name change. Also have you ever gotten feedback from students attending Oak Meadow School or Eldorado Academy? My daughter has dreams (when she is in a good space) of going to Spellman college. Would it be appropriate to call them to see what they think of which online high schools would meet their standards ? Thank you again for your thoughts.

Sorry I misquoted the accreditation for Halstrom, they say they are accreditated by th WASC.

I think that would be quite reasonable to call Spelman College. It would be interesting to see if they have an opinion one way or the other. Never hurts to ask and it certainly doesn't hurt your daughter's chances of getting into the college.

Please post what they say.
