Amazing book with a wealth of information! 2008/09/24 17:12 Karma: 0
Hello Tom,

I just bought your e-book, and I am really impressed!

After reading the first 40 pages or so, I have learned a lot more information about online high schools than a week of research on google. I am really excited and look forward to finishing the book

Here is a brief info about myself, I am 20 years old, from India. I decided to leave school after 10th grade and pursue 3D animation and Photography, Which I have been successful at.

I am currently working full time, And I plan to go to the US to get a computer science Degree(hopefully at a good university). Do you think working full time will stress me out?

Will it stress you out? Certainly.

Will you be able to succeed? Yes, but only if you go to school online. In your case, trying to fit residential courses around an already busy schedule almost certainly spells disaster.

And thank you for your nice comments on my book.

Thanks!

Currently, my top three choices are MU high school, Indiana University and Keystone National.

I find keystone very interesting, but I am concerned about the exams being open-book.How will the universities see this?

While MU high school and Indiana university requires that the exams must be proctored,It is not easy to find a proctor here.

Any suggestions?

I would not be overly concerned with how Keystone administers its exams. As long as it is properly accredited, there should be no problem. And Keystone is most certainly properly accredited.

As for the University of Missouri High School and Indiana University High School, these are both very good schools. Importantly, they will be viewed as better schools than Keystone because of their relationship to universities. This perceived status may help you get into a better university when the time comes.

I would talk with both schools to see who an acceptable proctor might be. Often a teacher, librarian, or professor is acceptable (but I do not know the specific rules for these schools).
