Orion High School achieves candidacy
June 1st, 2008Dr. Joseph Gallegos of Orion High School informs me that as of May 2008 the school is now a candidate for both CITA and SACS accreditation. Best Online High Schools and I offer Orion our heartiest congratulations. This is a major testament to the quality of their program.
To say it is challenging to become a candidate would be making a simplistic statement. This sort of candidacy is designed to weed out the poor schools from the very beginning. If you can actually get to the candidacy stage, you have achieved a real milestone.
What does this mean to you? It means that, while they still must meet certain requirements by their November 2009 final visit, you can be sure of the quality of the program. That says a lot.
