Maintenance Work

April 5th, 2010

If you should see things appear and disappear over the next day or so, do not be concerned. We are doing some work on the back-end in order to serve you better and that requires some testing to be done. Thank you for your patience.

Best Online High Schools on Youtube

January 21st, 2010

If you haven’t had a chance to go look, the Best Online High Schools Channel on Youtube.com now has over forty videos of online high schools. Instead of wandering all over that site, I am pulling them altogether in one central location. Enjoy!

Do you have a question?

September 8th, 2009

The best place these days to ask a question is in the Forum. The number of Russian spam messages coming to the blog has become unmanageable, so we have needed to shut down responses for now.

Do you want a response?

February 21st, 2009

I am happy to answer questions here on the blog or in the forum. It is helpful, though, to:

a. Attach your question in the blog to a current post. Attaching it to an unrelated post from a year ago can be problematic;

or

b. Start a new thread in the forum and not attach your question to an old forum post (unless it is truly related to it).

I think that helps both readers and me.

Does listing a school work (and why should a reader care)?

January 31st, 2009

I am sometimes asked why a school should advertise on the Best Online High Schools website. It’s a fair question and I thought I would give a reasonable answerable. Thanks to the many folks who read this website, we now get a significant amount of traffic.

Take, for example, our newest school, University of Miami Global Academy. It has just been listed on our site this past week. Do a Google search for: “University of Miami Global Academy.” You will discover that three of the first ten hits are related to this site. The BOHS site is the sixth and seventh ones and our blog feed that goes to Amazon.com is the tenth one.

After only one week, we hit the first page of Google for this school three times. Why is this important for readers to know? We claim to be the largest independent site for online high schools. This is how we back up that claim. It is absolutely about validity of the source.

Best Online High Schools offers new program
